Course Details
This 8-hour course focuses on practical and effective tactical drone deployment in the law enforcement environment. The class emphasizes real-world applications for patrol, critical incidents, and investigative support. Participants will explore mission planning, communication, airspace considerations, and operational decision-making that enhance officer safety and mission success. The course is designed to provide immediately applicable skills for day-to-day UAS operations.
Participants Will Learn:
• Foundations of Tactical UAS Operations – Understanding when and how drones should be deployed to support patrol, SWAT, and investigations
• Mission Planning and Scene Assessment – Pre-flight considerations, risk evaluation, and developing effective operational plans
• Communication and Team Integration – Coordinating with incident command, ground units, and partner agencies for seamless deployments
