Course Details

Participants will learn to confidently lead and respond safely and effectively during critical incidents. Through video breakdowns, debrief and breakout groups, students will strengthen decision making, communication, and critical thinking skills. Core topics include communication, perimeters, apprehensions, barricaded suspect, officer-involved shootings and the post-incident aftermath.


Attendees will learn:

  • Learn decision making principals, critical thinking concepts and communication

  • Learn to apply perimeters using the CIPA concept (Contain, Identify, Plan, Act)

  • Learn to improve time-compressed decision-making concepts

  • Understand leadership during critical incidents
